The Air Cargo Challenge competition is directed to university students of engineering or Sciences of Technology and Engineers. It was created to estimulate the interest in the aeronautics domain and to test its capacities.
The competition involves the project itself and the construction of a radio model aircraft controlled to elevate the heaviest load possible. The aircraft should take off within 60 metres, fly over a field at least once and land where the organisation has previously planned. There are strict rules and each prototype has to obey a certain span, propulsion (all the engines have a similar power), etc. In the third edition the engines required are electrical ones. However, the challenge goes much further than just the flying competition.Technical quality of the design is the main imperative.
This is the 3rd edition of this event but the first European wide. This challenge is unique in Europe. The winners of this challenge will be able to host the next edition in their home country or university.
Project's presentation and Flight Competition was held in Lisbon, from 6th to 10th September 2007. Check the programme here

Due to the large amount of teams still in competition, we are forced to cut the time available to perform the presentation.
So, in article 8.1.5. Oral Presentation – 30 points, where it says "It should take 20 minutes maximum, with no tolerance.", it is now written "It should take 15 minutes maximum, with no tolerance.".
Plus, we will provide 5 minutes extra to allow questions from the audience.
we have sent an email requesting you the following information:
- Time and flight number of arrival. - Time and flight number of departure. - Are there any vegetarians or someone that requires a special care on food?
and we provided in the same email, our phone contacts that you should use before and during the event.
